Step 1

The enrolment process

Palm Beach State School has an Enrolment Management Plan.

Check to see if your address is within the Palm Beach State School catchment.  

Out of catchment applications are considered with reference to Education Queensland enrolment policy

To ensure that students who enrol under the category of local catchment are genuine local residents, we need to see a number of original documents. 

In summary, to be eligible under this category the applicant's Student's Principal Place of Residence must be within the Defined Local Catchment Area.  

Step 2

Complete the enrolment form. Please pick up an enrolment pack from Administration.

Step 3

The enrolment interview

Please come prepared to the interview with the correct documentation, otherwise the enrolment process cannot proceed.

You will need to bring the following items:

• You and the enrolling children.

• Each child’s birth certificate (and/or passport if birth certificate unavailable).

• Your proof of residency.

• Rates notice.

• Lease agreement and a verification letter signed by the real estate.

• A current passport and visa is required for any child born overseas.

• A recent school report card (if previously at another school).

At the enrolment interview, we will:

• Discuss the details on the enrolment application.

• Discuss and organise uniforms and uniform expectations.

• Discuss and organise stationary, books and readiness for learning.

• Discuss and organise fee payments.

• Complete an enrolment agreement.

Step 4

Understanding school policies

It is very important for you to read and familiarise yourself with our school policies. Please read these prior to your interview as you will need to know about the policies, standards and expectations of our school prior to enrolling your children.

An enrolment form is to be completed by the enrolling parent or care giver. Please note that some of the requested information may be of a voluntary nature. This admission form also requests instructions relating to custody arrangements. We need to sight custody documents and/or receive instructions for access to the child by non-custodial parents.
